WILDLOVE

Wild Love approaches portraiture as an act of recognition.

Each image removes what is incidental so that what remains becomes clear: the presence of a conscious individual. This is not natural history photography, but a sustained inquiry into alterity, dignity and non-human subjectivity.

More than one hundred species are brought together under a simple conviction: the animal is not an object of contemplation, but a being whose gaze meets our own.

“I have never seen such a connection as Pedro is able to accomplish in the wild and he finds it each and every time!”

Greg Gorman

American photographer

“This sumptuous book is not only a work of art… it is, above all, a masterpiece.”

FRAGILE

Fragile confronts the fragility of existence itself.

Each portrait isolates the animal from narrative and context, allowing the viewer to encounter a singular, finite and vulnerable life.

What appears at first as beauty gradually reveals tension. These are not decorative images. They are meditations on disappearance.

In this body of work, portraiture becomes an ethical gesture: to look closely is already to assume responsibility.
