Pedro Jarque Krebs is a wildlife fine art photographer whose work explores the boundary between image and consciousness.

Through intimate portraits, he seeks not merely to document animals, but to confront the viewer with their presence. His images aim to dissolve the distance between species and question the alterity that separates us.

A graduate in Philosophy from the Sorbonne University in Paris, his practice bridges visual language and reflection. He approaches animal portraiture not as illustration, but as a sustained inquiry into dignity and non-human subjectivity. The philosophical dimension of his work remains implicit, emerging through the act of looking itself.

His career began in Peru in the 1980s, where he received his first national award. Over the past decades, he has developed an extensive body of work presented in solo and group exhibitions across Europe, the United States, Latin America and Asia.

His works are permanently installed at the Metro de Madrid (Casa de Campo), where large-scale portraits transform the station into a public visual space encountered daily by thousands of visitors, since 2022.
